Today's Agent Skill: Quarterly Business Goals and OKR Builder

What It Does

Most small business owners set annual goals in January and forget them by March — because vague ambitions with no weekly connection to daily work don't drive behavior. A well-built quarterly OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework takes broad priorities and converts them into specific, measurable targets with a week-by-week path to reach them, keeping a small team aligned and focused for 13 weeks.

How It Works

The agent takes 2–4 stated priority areas for the quarter and generates a full OKR framework: one ambitious, motivating Objective per area, 2–3 measurable Key Results per Objective, a list of weekly initiatives that drive toward each Key Result, a 13-week progress tracker, and a short quarter kickoff message the owner can share with their team to create alignment before the quarter starts.

How to Deploy It

Run this skill in Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, or Windsurf at the end of each quarter as you plan the next. Share the resulting OKR framework in Notion, a shared Google Doc, or a task management tool like ClickUp or Asana. Review the 13-week tracker weekly — a 10-minute Monday review prevents the quarterly goals from becoming forgotten aspirations.

## Description
Converts a business owner's stated quarterly priorities into a structured OKR framework — with motivating Objectives, measurable Key Results, weekly initiatives, a 13-week progress tracker template, and a team kickoff message — tailored to the business size and constraints.

## Trigger
Invoke when the user says "help me set goals for next quarter," "I want to plan Q4," "create OKRs for my business," "what should my business focus on next quarter," or describes broad priorities they want to convert into a concrete action plan.

## Input
- Business type, size, and current quarter and year
- 2–4 priority areas or ambitions for the quarter (can be rough — e.g., "grow revenue," "fix customer retention," "launch the new service," "hire two people")
- Hard constraints: budget limits, seasonal slowdowns, a product launch already scheduled, or key staff unavailability
- Whether goals are for the owner only, a small team, or specific departments

## Steps
1. For each priority area, write one Objective: a qualitative, motivating statement of what success looks like at quarter end. Objectives must be ambitious but achievable, and concrete rather than aspirational ("Close the bes
